....SIFY NARROWBAND limited.....





Whenever, I he
ar this word "sify" I get reminded of the utter frustration and stubbornness, I have ever experienced. I consider sify operators, and every body associated with sify, our future politicians. The sify internet operators really possess all the qualities of our present politicians. The plight of modern India is that Company like sify is among the largest internet service providers here.
It has been over an year using Sify and I can "proudly" say that I never have been able to use so called SIFY BROADBAND more than 2 months during this interval. I admit my mistake that I fell in the trap of sify operators by going after their false claims. Within 6 hours of applying for the connection, the sify local operators came to woo me, and being impressed by their super-activeness I felt proud at being a sify user. But that day has proved to be the worst day for my internet life.
I am currently using sify "happy hours plan" for one month [although these are unhappy hours] for which I have to pay about 580 rupees[150 MB per day,night unlimited at 64 kbps].The download speed is very slow (7 kbps) and the cap of 150 mb per day also hurts. Although its costlier than other ISPs (same plan in MTNL gives you 256 kbps with about same charge) but it becomes pretty expensive because It remains disconnected for over 20 days a month. And if you are thinking those 10 days are happy days of internet pleasure, you are wrong, those 10 days are the days when it remains disconnected for some 1 to 4 hours [as the interval of disconnection is counted in terms of days for sify users]. There are more types of disconnection errors in sify broadband like BB101, BB108, BB111 etc. than number of days you will be able to use sify broadband. The basic fact that Sify doesn't handle its connections on its own, prove its incompetence. It hires different unreliable local agencies which distributes its connections and maintains it. Means if you want sify connection, you cannot directly contact sify, you would have to ask a middle man to give you connection on their behalf and every time you have to deal with him to have your work like recharging the package, connection problem. There are also sify call centers
but more often the people there are more rude than local operators. Calling the sify call centers is itself a headache, they can hold your call for infinite period of time and its not toll-free. Most of the times they hold your call or ask you to leave your phone number saying that they would call you back. One day I had to keep on holding my call thinking that their operator would come at last for half an hour. So its better to call again if you hear that" executives are busy, please hold the line , your call is important to us". May be they have a virgin phone number which pays them for holding the call of the callers for infinite period of time. Local operators of sify are better in this case, they won't even pick up your call even if you call them hundred times, and they have innovated different ways like musical busy caller tunes to shoo away the complainers. They are stubborn and would tell you that they are doing their work even if you call them after 10 pm. Even hundred calls both to local operators and sify call centers can't resolve your problem, so its better not to increase your phone bill. I realized this after seeing that my phone bills have almost doubled after taking sify internet connection.
Every time I start the internet (when its working obviously), sify pops up useless advertisements like matrimony.com, biryani.sify.com etc etc.. and same happens while you are surfing. There is no way to escape these crap pop ups. Recently sify didn't allow me to open internet and asked me to uninstall my AVG free edition of antivirus (which I use along with other spy wares and firewall) and instead install trends micro anti virus provided by them. I heard that the version provided by them is crap, has to be manually updated and has problems with its updates and registration. So I decided to call up sify call center as ask them to withdraw that anti virus restriction. I was horrified to listen to the rudeness of the executive there. He refused to do that saying my AVG free is limited version for 1 month and doesn't provide good security compared to great trend micro Anti virus of theirs. I told him that I am myself doing computer engineering and know about my security. He didn't listen and ended the call. Then I called another number of their call center and they did it for me. This isn't just my plight. If you want to know more about this fraud band, I just suggest you to google "sify broadband" and you would no praises for sify or any information about it but on the first page itself you would find thousands of sufferers like me who are urging agencies like TRAI to look into this matter.There was no option for me other than sify because I have MTNL landline on which I can't get internet as its gets reimbursment from my dad's office with no internet condition, But for you all I advice you to stay miles away from this internet and don't ever go for it even if you get it for free (it would increase your phone bills). I hope one day one of the sify users would sue this fraud company in the court and get its ass properly aligned. After finishing this article, I must tell you that it took 4 sessions for me to complete this article thanx to the Sify decoit-band for it. And also thanks to auto saving mode of posts in the blogspot, that I haven't lost any part of this article due to disconnections.

The gay is saying absolutely right, The first one month you get the service and after day by day it become worst, you will not get the connectivity,you will call the sify people they will assure you to resolve the problem with in 12 hours and after 12 days and 12 reminder the sify person will come he will resolve problem in front of you and as soon as he left the problem will arise, you again need to call 12 times no one will come, suddenly one day it will work for 2 hours and will disconnect with the errors bb101,bb109,bb108 etc.
Once your plan finish the sify people will call you for renewal if you refuse to renew they will renew it and the person will come to take the money.If you ask your area person to give his cell no he will refuse to give saying his personal no. you need to call the customer care and when you call to customer care no is it will not work 2 for days, no one will give you customer care mail id, they gives you false mail id customercare@sify.com which is not working.
SO my suggestion is please don't go for Sify BB other wise.....
